Lieutenant General (Retired) Jeffrey Lofgren, Senior Advisor of the Hot Springs Village Veterans Memorial Foundation, would like to cordially invite all Hot Springs Village residents to the 2025 Veterans Day Ceremony. The ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday November 11, 2025 at 10:00AM in the Woodlands Auditorium. The theme of this year’s ceremony will be the Recognition of the National Guard and Reserve Forces members from Hot Springs Village. 

The guest speaker will be Colonel Tim Griffin, the current Arkansas Attorney General. A 28-year Army Reserve veteran, he served in the Army Judge Advocate Corps. Currently, Colonel Griffin still serves in the Arkansas Army National Guard. Previously Colonel Griffin served as a United States Congressman and as the Arkansas Lieutenant Governor.

Patriotic Songs will be performed by Jessieville High School Choir and Fountain Lake High School Choir.

The Veterans Memorial Foundation is a 501©(3) organization responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the Hot Springs Village Veterans Memorial. The Veterans Memorial Foundation is also responsible for the planning and funding of the long-term care of the memorial infrastructure and landscaping. This memorial care is made possible through funding from direct contributions to Veterans Memorial Foundation, sale of commemorative paver bricks honoring a veteran, and from funds generated by the Veterans Memorial Endowment Fund.

This year, the Hot Springs Village Rotary Club will host a lunch for all veterans and their families in honor of their service to United States of America. This lunch will be immediately following the ceremony at the Ponce De Leon Center.

The book is by Dan Remmes, music by Neil Berg and lyrics by Nick Meglin.

On Thursday, December 4, at the Coronado Community Center, 6:00PM we celebrate the wine of Portugal. To celebrate we will be tasting some exceptional Portuguese wine. Although Portugal is a small country in size and population, they are 10th in the world in production and number 2 in the world in consumption per capita (52.25 Liters per capita). The USA is 43rd in the world in consumption (11.8 liters per capita. Come on USA we can do better) and 4th in production. On this night we will taste fine and will enjoy a delicious cuisine prepared by Malinda’s. Be entertained by Bill and Craig from Cork and Bottle. The HS/HSV Symphony Guild presents the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in its annual Christmas Concert in the Village.  This festive event will feature this outstanding orchestra along with guest soloists and our own Village Chorale on stage with the orchestra. The orchestra will be conducted again year by Village favorite, Valery Saul. This concert always gets the Christmas Season started with a bang. Join us on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Woodlands Auditorium at 3:00 PM for an outstanding afternoon of glorious music. The cost of this concert is only $45.00 for reserved seating. 

    The Guild is also sponsoring a food drive benefiting local students in Fountain Lake, Jessieville, and Mountain Pine school districts. If you would like to participate, we will be collecting non-perishable food items in the lobby before the concert.

David and Howard plunged into the country music world in the late 70s and continued having hit after hit into the 1990s. “Let Your Love Flow”, “Redneck Girl” and “Old Hippie” and just a few of the songs in their catalog.
